Ganesh Chaturthi – the auspicious occasion of the arrival of Lord Ganesha in our homes, is just round the corner. The preparations for the decorations near the idol – ‘aaraas’ – has begun in many homes. This year due to the pandemic, it will be difficult to get fresh flowers for the arrangements. So I have received a lot of requests for paper flowers for the backdrop.
I have made these bright orange and yellow dahlias (to match the Ganesha idol colors), in varying sizes and some green leaves. They can be arranged on the wall, or on a bedsheet, or on a card sheet or on the floor, according to the size of the decoration area.
